Over the years shuswaplakewatch.com has started various research projects regarding the Shuswap Lake, runoff, snow melt, and river flow, environmental topics, lake usage, and more.
All our research projects have been entirely privately funded by this site, some additionally with the help of volunteers. Our reports are always impartial, independed, and fact-based to the best of our knowledge.
There are various new research projects in planning, which will be available after completion. Our focus for this year is set on a comprehensive analysis of the 2012 flooding in comparison to the 2013 runoff. Other ongoing projects are the "Shuswap Lake Environmental Impact Study", which has been stalled because of last year's flooding and disaster reporting. This project will continue early next year with data collection and anlysis from deep inside the watershed, starting with Mabel Lake, Shuswap River, and Eagle River.
This temporary page is still under development. All new, old, and ongoing projects will be introduced here shortly.
